T-Mobile Netherlands announced that it has achieved nationwide coverage of 4G+. The operator started the roll-out in January and now covers 4,105 locations throughout the country.
Customers with compatible devices receive speeds on average 50 percent faster over 4G+ compared to the standard LTE service, at 60 Mbps versus 40 Mbps. T-Mobile designed its 4G network from the start to use carrier aggregation of at least two bands (900 and 1,800 MHz). The 4G+ service requires a Cat 6 or Cat 9 device. With a Cat 6 phone, the maximum theoretical speed is 300 Mbps, while Cat 9 supports up to 450 Mbps.
